Our membership now includes all people who have graduated from any and all High School Special Education Programs within the Chicago Public School System as well as the original members who are graduates of Jacqueline Vaughn Occupational High School in Chicago, Illinois. Vaughn's entire student body is made up of students with mild to moderate cognitive disabilities and its cirriculum is individually designed for each student. Mission Statement
VF&AA, Inc. is a not-for-profit social service organization formed for the graduates and attendees of the Jacqueline Vaughn Occupational High School of Chicago, Illinois. In 2008 we expanded our membership to include all people who had graduated from or attended any and all High School Special Education programs within the Chicago Public School System. Our members strive to create opportunities, to elect officers, to distribute a bi-annual newsletter, to conduct meetings using "Roberts Rules of Order", and to help our Alma Maters in whatever way possible. We recycle various items to raise funds and to be environmentally responsible. We discuss our failures, successes and concerns and lift each other up when we are down. We share and celebrate each other's successes. We are a circle of friends, offering the kind of support that only friends can. It is our intension to remain together as an ever expanding group of friends as long as it serves the constantly changing special needs of our members.
V&FAA Stands for Vaughn and Friends Alumni Association. The figure below the center "A" is a native American symbol for everlasting or forever and the crossed arrows represent friendship. The colors are blue and gold because they are the colors of Vaughn High School, which is where we began. It is contained in a circle that has no beginning and no end to further enhance the idea of "forever". We are a circle of friends, ever expanding to accommodate our growing membership and their special needs.We chose native American symbols rather than some ancient European symbols because native Americans had a philosophy of inclusive community that better coincides with our own.

The meeting for Saturday January 21, 2012 has been cancelled due to the weather. The next meeting will be held on February 18, 2012 at Vaughn High School from noon to 2:00P.M. We will be having a party.
